NBG Awarded New Grants

We’re excited to share that Narrows Botanical Gardens has once again been awarded a series of grants supporting specialized projects across the gardens. These funds will help advance our work in conservation, horticulture, climate resilience, and community engagement over the next two years.

Support from the Lily Auchincloss Foundation will fund the Native Turtle Pond Restoration, scheduled for summer 2025. The Con Edison Climate Resilience Grant will support Cultivating Urban Resilience Through Tree Pit Restorationin spring 2026. The Stanley Smith Horticultural Trust is funding Cultivating Community Through Ornamental Horticulture, taking place from spring through fall 2026. In addition, a NYC Green Fund Grassroots Grant is supporting the new Sensory Garden exhibit, which launched in spring 2025 and will be completed in summer 2026.

We are deeply grateful to all of our funders for their continued support. These grants make it possible for NBG to grow as a place of learning, stewardship, and community connection.
